Examples of some of our more recent projects:

Brighton & Sussex University Hospitals NHS Trust: staff ball for nearly 1000
The directorate of facilities and capital development's biennial staff ball is a special event in the calendar for staff, partners and their family so I knew it was important to create a memorable and faultlessly planned occasion.  Such a big night needed more than one safe pair of hands, so working with Jane and was key to a successful evening incorporating not only a three-course black tie dinner, but also music and dancing, stilt walkers, full-sized fairground dodgems, a casino, bucking bronco, live music, a disco and scalextrics ... and for those fainter of heart, a chill-out zone with calming music, therapists and henna tattooists!
Our responsibilities included marketing and publicity and we were proud to find out that with nearly1000 guests, the 2009 event was the best-attended yet...despite the recession!

Company merger: launch conference, Naples
The brief for this event for the merger of two companies included a requisite for the venue of Naples, a challenging location lacking the necessary infrastructure for large-scale corporate occasions.

With this in mind, organising flights for 350 delegates travelling from all corners of the UK and sourcing hotels and restaurants not only big enough, but of suitable quality, to host our event was a particular test for our fact-finding and creative skills!  Added to this, a key and unusual requirement – due to the city's gritty reputation – was to have a strong eye on delegate safety.

All in all, this event proved a testament to our inventive logistics and unflappable on-site presence!

All-company conference: London
A complex brief with the over-riding objective to bond the entire workforce of this company – who had never before been gathered all in one place! It was also important to implement and foster a sense of excitement and engagement in the run-up to the event, since not all employees initially welcomed the weekend timing.

We were mindful we needed to create an event that would appeal to everyone from the CEO down, and put together an innovative package including a video diary room, a motivational speaker and a punchy timetable built around short and snappy attention-grabbing sessions. Despite some reservations before the event, feedback was excellent, and the weekend provided an excellent platform to introduce all to a new company structure and processes.

Sales and marketing department: sales conference, Dubai
This was the first time this company had planned a long-haul destination for its biennial sales and marketing conference, so I needed to bring something special out of the bag!  The hotel had to be the perfect mix of instant wow factor with sole use of conference facilities to maintain confidentiality. Good leisure facilities both in the hotel and in the local area were also a must-have ingredient.
For the keynote gala dinner, 250 unsuspecting delegates enjoyed an atmospheric jeep drive through the dusky dunes, to watch an Eastern sunset while sipping champagne. This was followed by a surprise dinner to remember at a Bedouin camp featuring belly dancers and tents around a camp fire.

Not only was the conference a much-fêted success, it was a talking point for some time afterwards, meeting business objectives to drive sales ambition and achievement.
